Hammond (1894-1940) was an early example of an English designer prepared for any commercial challenge that came his way - book jackets, illustrations commercial and intepretative, posters, art direction for films, and designs for the stage - sets and costumes. This brochure, intended to publicise the rates for placing Classified Ads in The Times, measures 21 x 28 cms, and is printed on heavy art paper. The rates are actually printed on the last page in sensible type, but is undated, perhaps c1925 |
